Parent Coaching

Gifted Together provides parent coaching for those with gifted and 2e children. Parents often come
to us exhausted and out of ideas. Parent coaching can be helpful if you find yourself regularly:

*trying to strategize and manage struggles
*researching
*weighing options
*confused about the “right” approach
*feeling overwhelmed
*feeling alone
*more reactive than responsive

These experiences are not uncommon for parents of gifted and 2e children. You are not alone.

Using the lens of gifted theory, we will work together in coaching to understand the strengths
and challenges of your unique child(ren) and family.

Through parent coaching, you will be supported as you seek to better understand your child(ren)
and make progress with your parenting goals. There are no simple solutions to complex situations,
particularly in parenting a child with unique struggles and needs. But there are approaches,
insights, choices, and strategies to explore.

Each coaching session is an opportunity to work on specific issues and experiences, and to build
knowledge, understanding, and ways for responding to and working with your child differently.
We build your skillset together, tailored for your unique family.

Life Coaching

Gifted Together also provides life coaching for gifted and 2e individuals who want help to get
unstuck and move forward with exploring, navigating, and making progress with personal and
professional goals. Life coaching may be for you if:

*you want change, but how to make change is unclear
*self-criticism is a challenge
*you know what you want, and struggle to complete the steps to get there
*making progress with your goals feels slow and frustrating
*you long to contribute in your own unique way and find satisfaction in your work

Coaching vs Psychotherapy

Understand that in coaching we won’t be doing the same type of work done in our psychotherapy
practice. In psychotherapy, we work with our clients by examining the past and present in
order to restore mental health and well-being. In coaching with Gifted Together, we’ll work
on setting and achieving future-minded goals with a gifted and 2e lens. Our coaching differs
from our other services because we’ll focus on the concrete steps you and your family can
take moving forward. If you are hoping to seek services for a specific issue related to
trauma or mental illness, we encourage you to reach out to us about counseling instead.

Workshops

Full day workshops for parents and adults that give in depth information
about giftedness and the challenges that face gifted families.

Professional Trainings

Trainings designed to give introductory information about the social
and emotional needs of gifted children for educators, therapists, school
psychologists, and more.
